The Americas: countries, flags and capitals
The Americas stretch from Canada to Chile and take in the islands of the Caribbean: 35 countries in all. Many of them speak Spanish, but you will also meet English, French, Portuguese and Dutch, as well as Indigenous languages with official status in Bolivia and Paraguay.
Currencies are a good place to begin, because the peso, the dollar and the real are shared names with very different values. The Caribbean islands are small but numerous, and their flags are some of the most colourful in the world.
