Cookie policy
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. This page lists the ones GlobeQuizz uses, and the local storage it uses instead of cookies where it can, so you can decide what to allow.
Strictly necessary
These make the site work and cannot be switched off. They are never used for advertising.
- sb-…-auth-token (Supabase), only if you sign in: keeps you signed in. It may be split into several cookies ending in .0, .1 and lasts until you sign out or the session expires.
- NEXT_LOCALE: remembers whether you chose Arabic or English. It is deleted when you close the browser.
- Your consent choice, saved by the consent platform so you are not asked on every page.
Local storage
The game keeps guest progress in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies, on your device only: games played today, personal bests, today's Daily Challenge and the sound setting. The privacy policy lists each key.
Advertising and statistics
Google Analytics (visit statistics) and Google AdSense (ads) may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_… (Analytics, up to two years) and advertising cookies used to show, cap and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland they are only set after you agree in the consent message. Elsewhere you can turn off personalised ads in Google's ad settings.
Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Your choices
Change your consent at any time with the Privacy settings link at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. The quizzes still work, but you will be signed out and the guest progress saved in that browser will be lost.
